Opening Doors with Hope: A Story That Begins with Struggle
What happens when a dream seems completely out of reach? For many children and young adults across the world, education is a distant hope, buried beneath the weight of financial hardship. That was the reality for Mbolifue Ramazani Gloire, a bright and determined young man from the Democratic Republic of Congo. After graduating high school in 2017, his dream of becoming an engineer was put on hold; not for lack of talent, but for lack of opportunity.
But in every story of struggle, there is a turning point; and for Gloire, that turning point was marked by faith, grace, and a renewed hope through Christ.
Breaking the Cycle: From Day Labor to University Lecture Halls
For years, Gloire couldn’t continue his studies. Financial constraints kept him from enrolling in university, and his dream of becoming an engineer slowly faded. But then, a providential encounter in 2023 opened a new door. Someone saw his potential, and through A Child a Future, a Christian nonprofit organization committed to empowering underprivileged children through education, he was given the opportunity to pursue higher education.
Today, Gloire lives in Lubumbashi and is enrolled in the University of Lubumbashi, pursuing a Bachelor’s degree in Electromechanical Engineering. With support covering tuition, materials, and living costs, he has not only reconnected with his dream; he is now living it.
“When I received the news that I could go back to school, I was overwhelmed,” Gloire says. “It was like being given a second life.”
Now in his second year of university, Gloire is setting his sights on the future. His goal? To complete both his Bachelor’s and Master’s degrees in Electromechanical Engineering, and to contribute meaningfully to his community through renewable energy and sustainable development projects. He also dreams of one day being able to support his family and offer them the stability and opportunities they never had.
Filled with gratitude, he shares: “I thank the Lord Jesus Christ for His mercy and for making this possible through A Child a Future.”

Gloire’s journey is a powerful reminder of the transformation that happens when someone is given the chance to dream beyond their circumstances. With a clear vision, the grace of God, and the faithful support of A Child a Future, he’s building a future not only for himself, but for others who will benefit from his innovation and leadership.
“I’m studying in a field I love,” he shares. “And I believe that, with hard work, prayer, and support, even the most distant dreams can become reality.”
