Who we are?
A Child a Future is a Christian nonprofit organization dedicated to giving underprivileged children around the world the opportunity to access education and build a better future. Rooted in compassion and inspired by James 1:27, “Religion that is pure and undefiled before God the Father is this: to visit orphans and widows in their affliction, and to keep oneself unstained from the world” the organization serves vulnerable communities by offering scholarships, school supplies, mentorship, and infrastructure support.
Since our founding, we’ve touched the lives of several children through educational and health initiatives in three African nations: the Democratic Republic of the Congo, Sierra Leone, and Cape Verde.
How did it Start?
During a visit to widows in a remote city of the Democratic Republic of Congo as instructed by our Lord and Saviour Yehoshoua Ha Mashiah (Jesus Christ), our team encountered a heartbreaking reality. A significant number of orphans who had successfully completed high school, some more than two years prior, yet were unable to pursue further education due to the high cost of university in the country. Despite their academic promise, their dreams seemed out of reach.
Deeply moved, we turned to the Lord in prayer, seeking guidance. In His mercy, He led us to establish a scholarship program, a response of faith and compassion, to offer these bright young individuals the chance to continue their education and step into a future filled with purpose and hope.
At A Child a Future, we firmly believe that the most impactful and lasting way to transform communities is through education. When a child is given the chance to learn, they are also given the tools to lead, to build, and to lift others with them.
As the African proverb wisely says, “Education is the key that can turn the son of a farmer into a president.” We have seen firsthand how this truth plays out in the lives of the young people we support , from hopelessness to purpose, from survival to vision.
Through Christ’s love and the faithful partnership of those who support this mission, we remain committed to unlocking potential, one child at a time, for their future, for their families, and for the transformation of nations.
